I was in the 7th grade... ahuge baseball fan then and today... It was game 7 of the World Series... Actually grew up a yankee hater..Not so much today... When Bill Mazeroski, hit that home run for the (We Are Family Pirates) to win the world series over Yogi's head, I was for the first time, Hooked on a feeling!

January 2, 1982 NFL Playoffs, Miami Dolphins 41-38 OT loss to San Diego. Strock replaced Woodley and the Dolphins came back from a 24-0 first half deficit to later lose in OT.

1986 world series, game six. I lived in the Boston area at that time and have a great betting story involving that game.

Sorry I have to list two here as a diehard Six fan since 1952:

1) Game 6 of the 1975 World Series capped off by Carlton Fisk's walk-off home run to end it!!

2) Game four of the 2004 World Series not in the sense it was a great game in an absolute or relative sense but rather

because it marked the end of 52 years of disappointment and frustration of not winning the ultimate prize,

THE WORLD SERIES!!!

There are some classics in this thread for sure.

I'd have to go with Cavs beating GS in Game 7 2016.
Holding that team scoreless in the last 3:40 or so.
Yes, I am one of those Cleveland fans who waited over 50 years for a championship.

1972 Canada vs Soviet Union, game 8 of the series in Moscow.
Paul Henderson scores late, even though he wasn't supposed to be on the ice. Phil Esposito was the best player, but everyone remembers that last goal.

That game and series was the turning point for international hockey.

In terms of games I've seen in person, probably the 2022 AFC Championship. Watching that come back and getting it done at Arrowhead was fuckin awesome. Will never forget it.

On TV, a few come to mind:

Cavs/Warriors Game 7
Texas/USC national championship game
Ohio State/Miami national championship game

In person

2006 NBA finals Game 5 when D Wade went off. Series was tied 2-2 and the game went to Overtime.

Funny, i was supposed to go the fins/pats a few years ago when the fins had a bunch of laterals to win the game (gronk missed a tackle). I woke up that morning very sick and had to give up my ticket. Sux
